Ruth Parkinson, Person Centred Counsellor

I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor. As well as private practice I work at a counselling centre in Preston. As part of my role at the counselling centre I work with final year medical students from Manchester University demonstrating to them the benefits of counselling to their patients, and how counselling skills can help them in their medical roles.

I am a fully insured member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, and am bound by their ethical framework.

What is Counselling?

The counsellor does not make decisions for you, and will not judge you or your decisions.

What Can Counselling Help With?

Counselling can you cope with a wide range of distressing and emotional situations. Some of the areas I provide counselling for include:

Students on counselling courses are also welcome.

What do I do Next?

If you feel that you would benefit from counselling, or would like to discuss how counselling might help you, then please contact me, to arrange a free no obligation pre counselling session.
